Wesco Foods is a HACCP-certified Agri-Food production, manufacturing & distribution servicing team in the Alberni Valley. They're all about local food accessibility & development, by supporting regional food security and reducing Agri-Food waste. Wesco Foods is at the forefront of community sustainability in the Alberni Valley and beyond, advocating for naturally grown foods from local farmers and producers.

Here's what they do:
🍴 Provide local food services & distribution across Vancouver Island through their online store wescofoods.ca.
🌱 Support local food producers through a zero-food waste policy.
📦 Soon, from their new physical location, they will be opening a space for locally grown food to be available every day of the week for the Port Alberni community.
🍴 They will be opening a little Kitchen Academy to pursue their A Chef for the Future Program for elementary school student groups and families.

Plus, they're dedicated to giving back:
🍎 Supplying fresh local fruits & veggies to local schools via their salad bar program.
📦 Offering Good Food Boxes to community members.
♻️ Developing preserved products to prevent food waste.

Reduce waste, attract investment, and position yourself as a sustainable leader with the Circular Economy Accelerator Program! 🔄 ♻️ 💡

This program – the first of its kind in Canada – provides hands-on support to Vancouver Island and Sunshine Coast-based businesses who seek to adopt circular economy principles, find operational efficiencies, reduce emissions, and develop innovative practices while increasing revenue and cutting operational costs.

Through the program, you will complete a site visit with a circular advisor and receive an opportunities assessment detailing opportunities to incorporate circular economy solutions and reduce waste, energy use, and emissions. You will also receive environmental metrics to help you track your progress, attract investment, and build a reputation as a green leader.

Intake for the Circular Economy Accelerator is now open! Businesses will be accepted on a rolling basis until all spots are full. Learn more and apply at www.project-zero.ca/accelerator
