It’s time for another Island Good Interview! 🎙️

At the Parksville Summer by the Sea Street Market, we had the opportunity to chat with Sylvain Rollin, founder of @wescofoods!

Spearheading local food accessibility programs, Sylvain has been a positive force behind meaningful food development in the Port Alberni region. From running culinary workshops for kids, to providing a space for local producers to create their own products, Sylvain and Wesco Food Society have been a staple of the community since 2022. 🎊

We are so amazed by the incredible work that @wescofoods does and we highly recommend giving them a visit either at the nearest market they attend, or at their store in Port Alberni.

They are also hosting a grand opening of a community-owned grocery store at 2960 3rd Avenue, Port Alberni, today, July 22nd! 🎉

There, they will be hosting the Alberni Foodies Market from 4pm - 8pm. Local producers will be able to bring in their produce and connect with the community while showcasing some of the products that will be in the store! Go check it out! You might even see some @IslandGoodBrand faces in attendance! The grocery store will officially open on the 23rd and be open from 12pm to 7pm.
