International Women’s Day (March 8) is a global celebration of the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. Across Canada, communities are recognizing the impact women have in shaping business, leadership, and innovation.
At Island Good, that impact is especially strong. Over 60% of our members are women owners or leaders in their organization, representing an incredible range of industries from food and agriculture to manufacturing, retail, and wellness. Behind every product is a story of determination, creativity, and community connection.
This International Women’s Day, celebrate by shopping local and supporting the women behind Island Good.
Here are just a few of the inspiring women leading Island Good businesses:

Through RavenSong, I blend traditional knowledge with modern enterprise to create sustainable livelihoods, mentor Indigenous youth and women including those with visible and invisible disabilities and protect our coastal ecosystems for future generations.
