The Alberni Valley Chamber of Commerce operates the Visitor Centre under a Fee for Service agreement with the City of Port Alberni. Added to that portfolio in early 2020 the Chamber undertook a Social Enterprise concept, again with the City, as operators of the McLean Mill National Historic Site (MMNHS). The MMNHS includes a lovely Gift Shop populated with many Island Goods, it also has Food/Beverage, a small campground, and the site offers a myriad of onsite and local tours. The MMNHS offers community events and private events such as weddings.
