Woodfire Spice.Ca was born out of a passion for blending individual flavours together to create easy to use spice blends for everyday use. We have a selection of 8 chef-inspired spice blends, that were originally created for dishes served in our restaurant on Gabriola. Following on from the success of that, we decided to package them for the retail market, using a local designer for the packaging and marketing work. Only top quality ingredients are used in our spice blends and they are sourced as locally as possible. Spices are hand-blended in small batches to ensure quality and freshness and are packed and sealed in aluminium tins to protect them from exposure to sunlight, often the cause of most damage to spices. All of our blends are gluten-free with no msg, additives preservatives or fillers. In addition to the 8 spice blends, we also have Alder Smoked Salt and Maple Sugar. Our Alder Smoked Salt is hand smoked over real Alderwood to give it a truly natural smoky flavour, and our Maple Sugar is handmade in small batches from 100% Grade A pure maple syrup.
