Hardy Buoys Smoked Fish Inc. opened in June 1994. We produce a line of hot smoked salmon products as well as salmon jerky. The Plant operates wholesale/commercial year-round selling their own branded smoked salmon items all across Canada as well as providing custom processing & smoking, private label for other companies selling into major grocery chains. Seasonally Hardy Buoys also processes for the sportfishing community. The facility is Federally licensed with CFIA, Kosher certified and carries other designations such as Ocean Wise. One of the larger employers in the small town of Port Hardy, we offer consistent, year-round work for anywhere from 35 to 50 employees depending on the time of year.
